Default dead alarm buzzer?

Ok so my car does not beep when I lock the car, so I call up this lexus dealership and they tell me there is a dial\switch under the steering column and make me search for it for a good 15 mins. Since I could not locate it, they ask me to bring it thinking maybe this car dont have one and they can simply use the computer to reset it. Anyways after looking at it they think either the buzzer is dead or there is some electrical problem b/w the buzzer and the ECU. They ran a quick diagnostics and verified everything else is perfect. Now is this something (buzzer) I could replace myself? or I should'nt even bother...? I dont want to pay to just get the buzzer replaced.

Insomnia,

Your profile shows a 2004 GS430. The dealer should replace this under your warranty and (if I were you) I wouldn't consider replacing it yourself. They should fix it.
