Got my parts, need them painted but some ?'s
Ok I just picked up my UGO roof spoiler from Carson Toyota yesterday. Quality of it is flawless. I also had my TTE lip installed last week. Hopefully I can pickup a RMM grille from a fellow member this weekend.
Now onto the questions. I got an estimate from a shop, not a body shop but a shop that has connections with a body shop and to get the lip moulded and painted along with the front bumper for ~$500. The roof spoiler would be another $100 and possibly the grille for another $100. Is this a reasonable price? Seems kind of high to me. I don't have the exact details of the job (bumper removed first, any repairs to the bumper done..ect) but if this is reasonable, I'll go ahead and get more details. I'm going to get another estimate from Auto Werks today too.
Regarding the chrome strip, is it better to remove it and replace it after the bumper is painted? I think masking around the strip wont give the best results. My cousin who has done some body work said that breaking the lines of paint will cause the paint not to stick as well at the edge of the mask line. And where can I buy this chrome strip?
Sorry for all the noobie questions. This is the first time I'm getting somethign like this done to any of my cars so I'm just lacking the experience and knowledge. So maybe some of you guys can fill me in. Thanks.

WELCOME I would have to say around $500 for everything sounds about right. There just trying to get a couple more dollars out of you think about it this way the paint is already in the gun. You can scuff the roof spoiler and grill your self so all they have to do is shoot it. Shop those parts around two a couple more places you might be surprised on the quotes.

I paid 1200 for the front lip attacted/moulded to the front bumper, the front license plate taken off, and repaint front bumper. Sideskirts, roof spoiler, rear spoiler, engine cover, and for the chrome trim. All painted and installed. I think i got an average deal, considering the quality is amazing
