I am just curious on what wheels you are using when you go to the track mainly for 1/4 pounders. I have heard so much banter about cars running high 13's and really low 14's. I have brought my car to the tracks and the best i can get is 14.73 at 94 mph. I am using the stock 17 inch rims with the RE930's. Does anyone know if the 16" rims would be better? What about traction on the take off. BTW I also raced the car with my 19" rims for the heck of it and ran 15.17 ato 92 mph. I would really appreciate the feedback.

I tried different styles, torque braking, launching in manual 1 then shifting through the gears, e-shifting, all the while the car was in "power mode" and VSC off. Granted the track has a 2-3% incline from what I have been told. I live in Hawaii, so we are at sea level but humidity is usually about 45-65%

I used to drag race my 90 Acura Integra and it ran 14.4 on street tires at 92.3 mph. No boost or Juice. All motor. So I was kinda sad that the GS wasn't doing the low 14's that was published.

Try the stock 16" with some 245/50 Nitto 555R's.

You'll be amazed!

After installing the SRT HFI/ECU, I went to the track for my first time in ANY car. Needless to say its different than the street. First off, I quickly found I was nowhere near as skilled as I thought at launching the GS. Anyway, my very first run turned out to be my best of four ttl. runs. I turned a 14.62 at 98mph w/a horrible 60 foot. The track is a little over an hours drive from my house. After making the drive out there, I immediately registered to run while leaving my car running. (straight off of the hwy. and onto the track.) Without exception, every person that I know that frequents that track after the same commute, insists that I could have shaved 3 tenths from my time had I shut off the car, opened the hood, and let the car cool for between 30-40 min before running. With that strategy and a T/C I think 14.2 could be a reality. If you have read 13.9 for the GS430 in R+T or whatever mag that was, dont think for a second that translates to real world. I dont know this for fact, but I would bet that 13.9 was under absolutely optimal conditions, w/a professional test driver, in a part of the US that is perfect for dragging, and probably the best run out of 50 tries.......LOL Tiny
