Hey guys. I was checking Carson Toyota's parts website and stumbled onto a parts list for Tom's stuff. I didn't have a chance to ask Steve about is yet but they are listing a Tom's computer upgrade for the GS300/430. Anyone know what it does? Thanks.

TOMS T.E.C.S. tuning computers basically adjusts the stock Air/fuel ratio to the optimized settings for the entire power curve.

The low and mid end gets leaner settings so the gas mileage is improved, and high end gets a richer setting to ensure safe operation.

Increased low end response, increased low end torque. Also adjusts ignition timing. Basically what the stock computer should be, like the Steering ECU.




What I don't understand is how Carson Toyota has the parts listed with the TECS computers. The GS300 computer is only for the turbo 2JZ-GTE, and there isn't one for the GS400's 1UZ-FE, only the LS (which I think there should be some differences between the GS and LS.) Plus Carson Toyota has one for the IS300 also, but TOMS only made TECS for the 3S-GE, not this "doesn't belong in it" 2JZ-GE.


I think Carson Toyota needs to adjust the parts list instead of just slapping them onto their inventory list. Alot of things don't apply.
