They are not that bad Derrick. Considering the OEM 17s diameter is 25.3, the new diameters are 25.2 and 25.5. The sidewalls are a little thin but they are about the sidewalls on 20s.

Like I told him, these are not optimal but they are not bad. Since they are x8 and x9, a 235/265 combo is probably ideal or even 245/275 (although this will be pushing a little, it's doable). He can probably use these until he can swap them out.

Still, although they will work, the ride quality will be pretty crappy, the handling not optimal, body clearance will be low (good and bad depending on how you look at it), and fender gap will be high.

Gues the downer is the tire size and some curb rash. Nothing some polishing cant take care of =)

 

to me the spec looks way too conservative, and the rear is just too inset compared to the front that i think it might look a bit funny. for teh price though, it's your call
