Exclamation Get it!!!!!!

Get the GS. You won't look back. I believe you'd be getting a good deal. Even with the four grand on top of giving up your beloved Max. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have a 03 Maxima SE A/T. I had a 93 Maxima and 87 Maxima prior to it. I traded my 87 Maxima for my current GS4. Since the GS4 costs 20K more than my Maxima in retail, its built quality, interior materials are better than my Maxima. 300HP V8 in the GS4 beats my 03 Maxima AT easily in the acceleration department. My Maxima is my winter car and grocery getter

Just give in and get it!

Well.. i'm going back to the dealer today. Wish me luck. If I can get them to come down a little more, or give me more on my trade, you guys may see me in the blk cherry 430 soon!

That's a nice deal, go for it. If you get lucky and get them lower, we are going to you if do don't get it.

I called that same dealership, Bentley Downer's Grove, about a month ago for that car. It is an excellent price, and one of the lowest I found with that mileage on a nation wide search on AutoTrader. The car looked great in the pictures, but my wife wanted a different color. We ended up getting a silver/black 2001 GS 430 with 41k miles for $22.8k at a dealership in Nebraska.

I still have many fond memories of my '95 Max GLE and I didn't have any major service issues until I unloaded it at 162K miles.

The GS4 is better in every way (well, except for the sunroof rattle). Unless you really must have a manual tranny, go for the GS.

Well guys, i went in yesterday to give them $4K plus my car for the GS. Then the manager came up to me and said he overestimated the value of my car (which he did a bit) and wants $5K now. This is still a good deal, but i'm just pissed that he would change his original offer.
I'm not sure if i should do it now.

Need more info... If you were told to bring 4K and you show up with 4K and they say ooops... I should have said 5K, I would raise holy hell in that joint and save 1K

but that's just how i do business...

yes, depending on options, your max + $4K is a very good deal. Your max +$5K is still good. You know that my max was very similar to yours except for color and mild mods...I sold it to the first guy to test drive it for $17.5K (listed at $18K).

The switcharoni is concerning (and maybe illegal since there was an offer and acceptance?) but if that's the car you really want and the history checks out...what are you gonna do?

Couple of questions:
1. Lexus dealer?
2. Options?

1. It's a Bentley dealer, not Lexus. They sell a lot of used luxury cars.
2. Blk Cherry/blk leather. ML sound. 17" sport rims, no rear spoiler or navi.

Cool. I saw that one when doing my search. I finally opted out of dark exteriors because I don't have time to do it justice anymore. But it is very nice. Good luck.

Another maxima.org member. My handle on maxima.org is max7 I recently traded my maxima for a gs 430. No regrets. I do miss driving stick shift though, but you get over it quick when you feel the tourqe. Did you ever come to any of the maxima meets in Chicago? I have a feeling we've meet.

Good luck on your GS purchase. Luxury Motors can be tricky to haggle with, but their cars are solid.
