man for all the trouble you might just as well go out and get another set

Didnt want to wait for shipping on ebay, so I ended up buying a pair at a local shop. Cost me $30 a pair and $10 for a pair of PolarG M-4's.

I thought some had a totally clear lense and some have an obscured/reflective lense like stock but not yellow

I am going to get a new set but instead of throwing away the old set I am going to tinker with it and see if I can seal them better, that way I wont have to keep on buying them over and over. If it doesnt work I can just throw it away.

a hairdryer (to dry out any condensation left) and a tube of silicone is all you need

Chuck, you are exactly right! Most of the cheap sets sold on Ebay have a clear section in the lens that allows you to see the bulb inside showing through. Looks kind of cheap/cheesey in my opinion. The somewhat more expensive ones like the set made by OBX for example have the diamond refractive lens which prevents seeing directly into the bulb compartment. I have seen these on ebay for $25-30. You can install an amber bulb or amber emitting LED in these to remain legal and still have the clear appearance during daylight for the clean look. A little more expensive than the cheapies but a classier look imho (to borrow a phrase from Henry).
