Question Please post pics of your grounding kits!

This thread isn't to debate whether grounding kits work or not... I've already decided I want to add one because of some noise on my aftermarket stereo and difficulty in finding a good ground on my GS while dynoing.

I'd like to see installed pictures of member's grounding kits - different colors and wiring paths, plus connectors if you can get a closeup shot. If you can tell me where you got them / the brand. I need to figure out which kit looks / fits the GS best, and what color. Since my GS is black and I don't really have a 'color scheme' in my engine bay, I've got plenty of alternatives... just can't decide what would look best.

Here are some good posts about grounding kits

For what the price of the kit cost you can save by going to your local stereo shop and buying all the wire, color of your choice with crimps. Just some advice instead of paying someone else to cut the wires for you.

Good point, meant to mention the TM Engineering one as that is the set I'm most interested in... just haven't seen any additional information or pictures of it.

Here's a link to a GB Todd had on it a while back.

as long as you have good leads, kits work
if you don't have good leads, and the kit is cheap, which was my case, they cause MAJOR electrical problems, just a warning. spending a little money for a kit is NOT stupid, buying an ebay knock off IS ill advised

you can always do it stealth. the system TM did on neo's car, you can NEVER notice it unless he points that out to you. if i do mine, i will do the same too. silver, and just go nicely around the engine bay so no one cannotice it. i don't need any bling bling in my engine bay

Here is a pic of my TM kit. It is black with the black sheath so it looks OEM. Unless you know how the typical grounding kit attaches and knows what is OEM wiring, it would be hard to pick it out:

Instead of having to paint arrows in my pic, here is a pic of redgs4's setup. It is not the same kit but you can see where they attach,

The only thing to notice is that he as a 400 and I have a 300 so some of the attachment points are not exactly the same.

If I remember correctly, you should ground these points:

1. Chassis to Throttle body
2. Chassis to Upper engine block
3. Chassis to Fuse block
4. Positive battery terminal to chassis
5. Chassis to MAF
6. Upper engine block to lower engine block (this one I am not sure, it's been so long)

But I remember distinctly that you only ever need to do 6 pts for grounding in your engine bay. Anything more than that is just wasted garnish.

Everything you see here that's light blue in color is my grounding wires:

I went as far as adding the XCS electrical conditioner/charger to make sure that I won't be getting any surges and spikes.

Thanks for the props. Having a 300 is one of the ways to stand out from some of these NorCal guys with big mods. LOL.

LOL. I have no problems with having a 300 (and I don't think I've ever hid the fact that I have a 300). I would have no problems with having a 400 or a 430 either. They are all nice cars.
