Swift "Dragon" TC
Is there any negative effect to having a TC? How differently does the car drive with it? Ive heard when you go from a stop your car wont move until it hits a certain rpm? is that correct? What is it like on a daily driver. I had one shop tell me that its not something I should get unless im doing drag racing. Any intput would be appreciated

In everyday driving, you will lose a little gas mileage. When driving normally, the car revs a little more going across the intersection. When the car idles at a stop, it will barely creep forward, but overall I would say you're raising your rpm maybe 500 revs to drive away normally from a dead stop. But when you stomp on it from a dead stop (with the VSC turned off) you can smoke the tires. 0-60 times increase dramatically; the toughest part is making sure you don't burn up the tires.

That's what happened to me. I burned up a set of rear tires in just 9k miles, it is so fun to spin your rear wheels at launch. But after I got the TRD LSD installed, I can no longer spin my wheels. Just got a new set of tires, hope they'll last longer this time
