I read my manual (had to order it from Lexus) and searched the forum, now I'll ask:

I understand RDS, I just don't understand how to get the info off my Lexus.

- No messages when I'm moving, OK, I get that. But how can I get the message when I'm stopped? Sometimes I see my favorite station broadcasts the artist/song, how can I extract this info for any song?

- I don't always see the RDS info, is the issue that the stations aren't always broadcasting RDS info, or am I not using the system correctly?

 

Radio stations don't always broadcast the RDS information. As far as retrieving song data, i'm not sure that can be stored. The messages will be shown if you hit the MSG "button" once your car is not moving. It often doesn't say much.
