Just got a 98 GS400
It's the first Lexus I've owned, already want more, lol. Haven't had a chance to clean it up yet, but snapped a couple pics last night.

It has 50,200 miles, and a couple little problems that need to be fixed up. I need to replace the windshield and driver's side mirror (just the glass, should I get this from the dealership?), and am getting tires replaced and brakes serviced at the moment. No immediate plans for mods but I'm sure that will change.

Yeah I thought I'd just call one of those "we'll come replace it in your parking lot" windshield places. My question was directed more towards the mirror.

Whatever you do, make sure that your rearview mirror bracket is the same-- the previous owner of my car had their windshield replaced at an aftermarket shop that put an aftermarket bracket on for the mirror... so now it not only shakes on a bumpy road, but also falls down intermittently on heavy bumps. Make sure they use a Lexus bracket

welcome and neat car there
did you check on the price of the oem glass? personally i would want that. if you get aftermarket make sure it has the opening for the vin number
about the mirror, i forgot, but i THOUGHT you need to get the whole assembly. otherwise you just get a glass shop and i am sure they can just change it out for you
