Here is what the kit looks like x 2 . rubber goumet screws to go in the end holes of the body where your stock sills popped out, splice and inverter

rubber groumet screws

Stock sill removed, groumets go in in the end holes- don't push them in too hard . They will get lost inside your rocker panel.

Instruction say drill a hole in sill rail edge.I chose to take a file and put a small notch in the top. The wire will lay in the notce w/o getting pinched

back side of the sill. I put masking tape on it to protect the light element just while I was hanldling it alot. The red is molding tape that helps secure the sill to the body.

The top and bottom sills are the stock sills , rear and front sorry for any confussion. the middle one is the back side of the TTE sill.

Wow - that looks pretty sweet. If it were a little cheaper (< 175) and I knew how to wire it, I'd buy it for sure.

1 being easy it is a 3 The hardest part was pulling up the plastic molding and carpet so that you did not break any clips and routing the wire to the foot courtesy light to tap into. The wiring was easy.

1-use something flat like a putty knife and wrap the blade w/ tape to lift the stock sill up or you'll really stratch up the paint.

2-clean surface off really well before you stick the sill down. if you mess up the adhesive tape ,it is the same as 3m double sided molding tape . $3 at walmart.

3-Make sure you put a quick connect between the power (courtesy light) and the inverter. Power SHOULD NEVER be going to the inverter w/o the inverter connected to the sill lights. I read that this can ruin the inverter. plus I found If your ever working on your car where the doors are going to be opened for hours , you can just lift up the carpet and unplug the inverter from the power source.
I have not quite figured out how much frequency the inver put out but if it is low then you probably get 8000 to 10,000hrs out of it. This is a wild guess. nothing scientific.

This is just some things i've learned along the way.

one last thing when you first get them if your going to be handling them alot put a few strips of masking tape on the front,it'll keep from getting them scrathed before you mount them
