E-shift

Anyone know why the E-shifts were dropped from the GS 430 and Kept on the GS 300??????

 

hehe.. I learned this from chat... I forgot who said it.. but... anyway.. they said that the 4.3 litre engine and ecu had problems handling e-shift. that's all I know... hope that was... well.. doubt that was helpful...hehe.. but ya.. that's the reason

 

They dropped the E-shift so that the car would qualify for ULEV standards (Ultra-Low-Emissions-Vehicle). I guess the car spewed out some noxious fumes when ripping it with the E-shift! Now the GS300 owners have it for the first time!
