Thanks for all the feedback. But I figure that black would be harder to keep clean cause you will be able to see all the dirt and dust in the car easier. Also I've seen a lot of black leather cars and as the leather gets older you tend to see the creases easier just because the creases come out white. While on Tan leather you wont see the creases as easy. What do you guys think.
Dont get me wrong I think black leather looks good.. and my preferred choice is black leather. But the only problem for me is that on black leather you will see the wear and tear more.
Am I correct??

Dave -- I don't know if that's accurate. I was thinking about my situation and had forgotten to take one important thing into consideration. I am the second owner of a 98 GS400 and have owned it for about 6 months. The first owner conditioned the leather (or at least he told me he did) about once a year. I would have to think that that has something to do with the fact that the leather is in such great shape. By the same token, however, my mom has owned several LS400s, all with beige interior, and the leather has always shown crease marks (she does not condition the leather). I don't think you can make a blanket statement and say that one shows creases more than the other. It all depends on how well the leather is cared for. I think you just need to decide which one you like better, and then look around to see what's out there. In the end, it's all a matter of personal preference anyway. I do agree with the other posters though that black is hotter in the summer, especially if you're in a really warm area. I see that you're from New York, so that really shouldn't be a deciding factor. Let us know what you ultimately decide.

ok yeh i hear you on that. I am planning on taking care of the leather. So im most likely gonna be going with black on black. And since im in NY it dont usually get that hot so it wont matter.
Thanks for all the input. Im hoping to get my GS before the end of this yr.

Ivory looks more luxurious, black more sporty IMHO, it all depends on individual preferences.

My 98 GS3 has black and it looks great. And I've heard Black leather actually ages best, but some might disagree. Anyways I love the black, and lets face it it's F'n pimp. But you may not be looking for that exactly...
