If you switch to a 2001 LS430, you will get a newer car, bigger engine, more luxurious interior, better options and amenities and like someone said, more respect and curb appeal.

But then again, you will be paying QUITE A BIT MORE markup for all the above extras. Are you willing to go that route?
i am

Hey guys, I have a similar question.. I have owned me GS4 since it's birth back in98. I was recently thinking about leasing into a new LS430. My car still runs stong and looks newish. But it is getting up to the 100K mark. With me taking clients around in my car all the time, I guess getting a new car may look good for me. What do you guys think of the new LS?

FYI... speed is nice of course! But the LS is 'Quick', and my other car is fast enough to curb my need for speed. So, no 1/4 mile or 0-60 comparisons please!

the new 04LS430 solved pretty much all problems i had with the previous yrs.

6 speed tranny, even smooth
much better throttle response
more respeonsive steering
better suspension, but still comfortable
back up camera
(i left out speed coz' you dont' care, haha)

If I wanted to spend money on a car change, I'd go for a new LS430 - it's an awesome car. I really like the styling changes they made over even recent year models and you can now get factory 18s which look a lot better than the cheesy 16s and even the 17s.

100K is nothing to worry about on your GS. Also, modding is CHEAPER than getting a new car. You might consider getting the car detailed and maybe some rims or something.

No question though, a new LS430 is really nice. Just a pile of dough. As much as I would enjoy one, I'm not ready to let go of my GS which is great.

I agree Bit.. My car could just use some good old TLC and she would look brand new. I am however starting to get small nagging problems with my GS.. (squeeks, rattles, etc) But also the throttle body PPS and TPS sensors are going out., which is fairly expensive to replace. But of course not worth changing cars for. I guess I just really love the styling of the new LS!
