Show me your 18's rims
Just wanted to see some pix of GS with 18's vs 19 or 20's
|
|
keep 'em coming..... are you glad you went 18's vs bigger rims?
|
I'd like to see some pics of 18s myself. I'm not exactly in the market right now, but I like to plan :D I'm a little torn between 18s or 19s but leaning toward 18s
|
heres a pic of my car way back when i had 18in and now went to 19in.. 18in will give you the ultimate in perf and comfort but not looks for the big gs body and fender wells .. 19in i found to best the best trade off between looks , perf and comfort especially if they are lightweight forged 19in

Staggered Volk LE37K 18's. No regrets vs 19's or 20's. But I'd trade for a set of 20" HRE's in a heartbeat. :D

For kicks and giggles, has anyone here gone from 18" to a 19" fat setup? I would like to hear the side by side assesment.

what is fat 19? from my 16s, a 245-35-19 fits perfectly. are you talking 245-40-19? And if you go fat, can you recalibrate your speedo?

By any chance was that white is300 that is parked in front of you at the HIN show turbo'd? I saw a white is300, 19" Loewenharts, carbonfiber hood, SRT 7 psi turbo kit and nitrous on Ocean Blvd here in MB. He said he showed at HIN and didnt get anything.. very nice car though. Just wondering.. |
Here's mine with 18" Works. I hope the suspension settles a little or I'll be lookin for some coilovers.

don't think I agree with that. What it will do is give you a little better ride and fill up the sides of the wheel well a little better agreed.... however, 45's= meatier tires=rims looks smaller. |
I think 18s are the right choice...

first, thanks everyone for the pics!!! these are kind of confirming what I thought, which is that 18s are the way to go. To me personally, when you add up the lighter weight, lower cost of wheels and tires, and the fact that I saw 18s on a M45 when I was shopping and they looked pretty big, and the fact that ANYTHING will look better than my stock 16s....to me all that outweighs the slightly better looks of 19s. Plus I can consider more brands in 18s. The only thing I don't really like is that when you lower the car and get rid of the gap up top, you still have a good bit of gap on the front and back of the wheel. I'd like the gap to be more symmetrical, which is why I asked about a fat 18. That way you get rid of a little bit of the lateral gap as well. Anyway, that's what I'm thinking if anyone give a darn :D

Looks nice rodel. Your exhaust could be bigger to better fill up the the bumper cutouts ;)
