Default A thought on group buy duplicate kit

i am doing a search for a kit for my Honda Prelude and i came accross this site bodykits.org . they said, they could make any customs body kit for any kinds of car by looking at the picture or actual kit. The price is $860 for full kit and needs 10 peoples for each group buy. Fitment is good. What do you all think of this? Just a thought, hope moderator won't close this thread

I really dont think that most lexus drivers would put "duplicate" or imitation kits on thier cars to save a few hundred buck, I could be wrong but I wouldnt.

That's the trend with this group. We tend to just wait til we can get the real deal.

Yes, Chicago is correct.

Good luck on finding people.

Chris,

I know you're trying to help folks out, but we don't allow group buys on ClubLexus from non-approved vendors, and the company you mention is NOT one of our approved vendors.

Personally I'm with the other guys - I wouldn't buy a knock off kit especially from somebody who says they can make it from a picture. Fittment is NOT going to be good, I've read too many horror stories on our forums to believe it is. I'd get the real deal... many of which are available through our existing CL vendors .

i will put in my 2 cents too. getting the real deal doesn't mean it's going to fit perfect to begin with, but you get better chance. plus it's more of a support/pride thing. bottom line, to me, if you can't afford the real thing, then don't do it at all.
