Oh HELL no!

This would DEFINATELY be resolved if I were in your shoes! It does look like someone did that intentionally. I would really be surprised if a dealer sent it that way.

What part of Arizona are you located by the way?

Hey guys. I'm in the midst of working this out with the dealer. They claim that they only knew of one scratch (which btw was never disclosed to me). Looks like they are trying to claim the carrier is at fault. Don't worry, I'm not the kind of guy that will just take it in the "you know what". I'll keep pushing their buttons until I have to use another finger... This will get resolved... and I'll try my damndest to make sure nothing comes out of my pocket...

Damn!!! That's some nasty scrapes. I would have them repaint the entire car cuz if they only do certain panels....it won't match with the rest of the car.

Good luck....give 'em hell.

I just got the initial inspection report from the shipper. Guess what?... All the damage was already on the car prior to shipping as I suspected. And never did the dealer do a "walk-around" of the vehicle with me over the phone as they claim to have done. If I knew about that much damage, I would have never purchased the car. I have even caught the dealer in a lie, because they claim (which I have in email) that there was only one ding that they knew about prior to shipment... I think I have a stronger case against them now...

Sorry to hear that . If I were you I would return the car. Contact your bank and tell them to stop payment on the check if you financed the car, because the dealer failed to disclose the condition of the car. I would also have the car shipped back to them COD. That is unaceptable. Good Luck

OK...sounds like this dealer is dirty....says anything to make the sale.

I would start by making a complaint the dealer's state business license dept, better business bureau, automobile dealers assn, consumer protection dept, etc.....to give him hell. Worst comes to worst...take em to court.

That's crazy.

A LOT of those scratches look intentional due to the shape. I hope everything turns out in your favor. Keep us posted.

Question
Was this purchased from a Lexus dealer? Hard to believe they would sell a car in that condition and lie about it!
Take pictures and send them to the dealership management and DEMAND that they re-paint the car or you will take them to court.
If it IS a Lexus dealer, you should prominently post their name, address, phone number etc. here on CL so everyone can boycott their dealership and maybe even "express their disappointment" via emails etc. Good luck with it!

Sorry to hear the problem with your GS and hope the dealer will resolve this issue soon. I bought my GS out of state too but I went to the dealership to inspect it myself. It is still a good chunk of cash when one gets a pre-owned GS.
