Bit, 2 awesome mods. I think mounting the EDFC in the glove box would be cool as well. KInda a stealh install, be pretty cool. Goodluck which ever way you go and they will be well enjoyed!

The only problem with this setup is that is is not readily accessible. If the driver is the type to set it and forget it, then it's cool.

Sometimes if I am approaching a turn I want to take and there is little traffic, I hit one of my presets (at stiffest) at about 100ft before the turn, have a little fun, then hit another preset for "regular" driving.

Thanks for tips about getting the ashtray out guys - I tell ya, I tried YANKIN' it really hard, and it's still not coming out. The surrounding panel is even pulling forward so I'm a bit nervous. If I want to pull any harder I'll have to brace my FOOT in the dash!

hey man, using force isn't going anywhere, you need to know the angle and stuff. take out the inner tray first, that will give you more room to pull, and use the radio head unit as a lever to pull.

and man, can't wait to see your car dropped using these bad boys

Congrats Paul!!!

I am very much looking forward to reading your driving impressions going from the L-tuned suspension to the Tein Flex with the even cooler toy with it - EDFC!!

Regarding the ashtray, just as Rom suggested, take out the inner tray and just yank it out. That's what I did when I replaced my ashtray with a wooden one. (the same ashtray that you almost bought sometime last year! )

Well, I've got good news and bad news. The good news is the ashtray is out, the bad news is some plastic bits broke off, but I can't see from where and it doesn't seem to have affected the ashtray's mechanism!

What you guys failed to mention (yes, I'm slow), is that the SURROUNDING plastic (mainly above) comes away with it, so I was pressing my thumb against that just trying to get the 'drawer' out. But by luck after some bits inside broke, maybe cuz I heard that and released the right pressure, the drawer and the surround came away as it should.

I'll be posting some pics shortly about my adventure since getting it out. Prepare for ashtray 101.

Here's the goal, have the SAFC-II in the ashtray (Jaime, I know you've done this, but I'm trying something 'creative' with it, which maybe you did too...)

I broke out (crudely with pliers! ) the plastic surrounding the lighter socket thinking that might help the SAFC-II sit lower:

You can take the front panel off the ashtray 'drawer' by pulling out the lower hinge parts and it just lifts off.
