You can clear it without removing the headlight unit, but it will be VERY VERY difficult....even if you got the right tools for the job. The hard part maybe trying to remove the pieces of orange color fragments.

Why don't you want to remove it?

Sorry bud, I don't believe there's another way. If there is then it's gotta be pretty hard getting your hands in the engine bay behind the headlights. The "orange/amber" color is from a lense that is located where the turn signal bulb is. You have to take that out. Here you have two choices. Break that **** up or cut it out so you can use it as a mini-coaster.

too lazy, don't want to remove front bumper, bound to mess something up if i remove front bumper, lack of time perhaps, maybe lack of tools, not really lazy, just worried bout messing something up, I figured if i could crack the orange piece with something, and pick the pieces out, any suggestions, would a souldering (sp?) iron do something to the orange piece? thanks

no you can't. after you break the lens, everything would be inside the headlight and you pretty much have no way to pick up those pieces. with the time you spend trying to pick those pieces you are much better off taking the bumper and headlights off
