Question Gs300 Heated seats

Hello I'm new to this forum I wanted to find out if the Gs300 comes with heated seats even if you did not opt for it I noticed an extra connector inside my center console of my 04' Gs300 and searched for what that connector is but was not able to figure it out, the only thing that makes sense is that it is for heated seats which my car is not supposed to have. Does anyone have a clue on what it is?

My 99 doesn’t, my 01 does. Never looked into what trim levels or packages have them but yes, they were definitely available for the GS300.

If the connector is between the VSC off button and the ETC power one, then it’s likely for factory heated seats so they could be added after it leaves the factory. If it’s below the hinge for the console, behind the storage container, that is to add a mobile telephone.

Yes the connector is in the middle of the VSC and the ECT switches so "Technically" I would need some switches only or also the seat bottoms to add heated seats?

Off the top of my head? You’ll need the heater element for both seats, you can probably go with some aftermarket ones, the on/off switches, the wood trim piece that surrounds the shifter one with the correct holes for the factory switches, and then I would guess you probably just need to find the correct relay(s) and the proper location for them. If you could locate a donor vehicle at Pick’N-Pull or wherever, you could everything you need and it’ll make it easier to recognize anything that might be missing or hidden on your car. I replaced my seat heater elements with some from a much newer GS, they essentially look the same only much newer, so they should last much longer than replacing them with some 20 year old used ones. And knew they were very expensive. It was pretty easy to install the newer ones.
