Hmmmm...what to do next?
I forgot to add this to my list. I have done this to a couple of previous cars that i have owned, and I just recently started thinking about doing the GS..Im just not sure what color scheme to go with on a black car. The only thing I can think of is black with dove gray inserts..or something along those lines. Any thoughts? [/B][/QUOTE]
it would be nice jeff...black with dove gray inserts
..do it
if you don't like it...sell it to me
...
ohh yeah i'm not feelin the vs mirror don't do it..save your money and finish your trunk up nice..

Don't do those mirrors, I think they look terrible.
Dark gray inserts on black leather seats would look good (and be functional).
If possible maybe the side bolsters could be made more functional too??
Have you considered a remote starter? Not sure how actually useful it is, but it seems kinda cool. Someone who used to be on this board had not only a remote starter but from the key he could roll UP all the windows and close the roof too which was neat.

OK, thats two no's on the VS mirrors...I have been kinda scetchy on them for awhile now. I might start putting some serious thought into the interior.
Bit, I will have a remote start on the car soon. I used to amange a stereo shop awhile ago, I had all of the goodies then. My alarm started the car, open and closed the windows, sunroof, and trunk, it turned my stereo on and off from outside the car...I think thats all. I will have something along the same lines on there soon.
by the way, the remote start is real usefull, ecspecially if you drive it year round. Mid winter, start the car up and have it nice and cozy before you get out there...Mid summer, have it nice and cool when you get out there. Put the windows down before you get to the car and let all of the heat out...it all can be pretty functional.

SICK, Its funny you say that...I was at that show last week watching some girls sitting on this guys hood for pictures...a new Ferrari Modena. All I could think was, there is now way in hell that I would let anyone sit on my car...I dont care how hot they are..it aint gonna happen.
This is the car they were sitting on. If this was your car, would they be sitting on it?

Sorry, but I would say NO to #1-6 except for the roof spoiler (if it would look right, photochop it). If the hood provided some sort of functional use, like cooling, then maybe...but it doesn't really. Pretty much the only cars I like with vented hoods are pure sports cars (NSX vented hood is nice). I definitely think that paint is out, unless you're refreshing your black paint. Black looks great on that kit. I doubt any custom color could improve on the look.
The only other mod I would consider is turn signal mirrors, done right (eg. Tom's Aristo).
With the amount of money that you'd spend on #1-6, I would instead sell the Veilside and take the entire amount to go full JP (assuming of course that money HAD to be spent on mods). That would be sweet! However, the intercooler does fit very nicely in your kit...
I would also leave your interior black. Maybe a different look (read blackwood/carbon fiber/silver) for the wood trim if you haven't already done so, but let me reiterate - the black on black looks great. Instead of any color change, perhaps replacing the two front seats with sport seats. Not necessarily pure race seats with harness seatbelts, but something like C-One Motosport's Sports Seat. Still all black leather with functional side bolsters for some sporty driving. But I'm reaching here to spend that money...
In the end, remember, what makes a car special is not the total number of mods, but the right combination - and sometimes less is more. You've made some solid choices that few would fault, so there's nothing wrong with keeping it that way. I would say that even with all your mods, your car is NOT a show car - and that's a big compliment!
Wish I had your "tough" choices right now.
Oh and btw, a big NO on the mirrors. Good choice. And if some really really hot girl sat on my Modena, I'd say, "Biatch, get the flock off my car!!!!"

PIMP,
I say focus on:
1. Your trunk work- already in progress
2. Custom interior work- IMO Alcantara will really modernize the interior as alot of the high end luxury cars use it, when you say Dove Gray is that the color that AMG uses? If so
3. Some sort of headlight update, maybe Q45, etc etc.
I'm not really to big on the vented hood thing, and the mirrors are a def no-no. Your car is fully modded, but because of the dark color, it still looks tasteful, try to keep along those lines, and you are set for life!!
Also, dont waste your time yanking out a flush monted NAV screen to put in another flush mounted screen (on second thought, I want NAV for my new car) YANK THAT NASTY NAV OUT, and I'll take that junk off your hands for 200 bucks man!!!!
(reverse physcology working???)

Good feadback...thanks fellas!
Sounds like I might be grasping at things to do...which is exactly what I dont want to do. I think I will concentrate on the trunk build up for now, maybe I will just go a little further with that then I originally thought.
The interior is still on the list of potential mods.

Jeff,
I'm with my buddy Bit on this one. Stick to functionality with a little bit of flash. Two tone interior seats, do your stuff out back, definetly wheels (remember what I told you about that.....staggered, staggered, staggered!). Body kits look good, but you have to be careful not to go too low. You'll end up repairing lips and sides often. Remember that urethane kits are better to make that "finished custom" look. Fiberglass kits are harder to work with and you have to have someone that KNOWS what they're doing to finish right. Too much trouble IMO.
IMO, finish the install in the trunk first. Get some wheels, second. Maybe dress out the interior, third.
BTW, I emailed you about something.

Unless you mean staggered. I did not realize Jeff's set up is not staggered.Personally, I like the hood. BUT I would not normally put it on unless there is something "of value"
under it. I want one for my car too but I won't do it until the SC is under there. You don't have that problem. With all the mods you have, your car already does not look like a sleeper so not having the more "agressive" hood is not going to do much anyway.
In the end, do what you like.
