Hello everyone! I own a 98 Gs 300 & im having the infamous throttle body issues (TPS&APP codes) the issue started shortly after i changed my rims and tires (which the tires are smaller , but the rims are one size larger than oem). After resetting the sensors and the battery the car drives fine until the sensors go off again. I took my car to a mechanic to find the source of the issue (which turns out they where not familiar with Lexus especially older) and they decided i needed to replace the entire throttle body. which i did. didn’t fix the issue (although after we replaced the TB the tps sensor went off and the app came on) , all of the sensors have been replaced , including the wiring to the APP. I have spent about 1,000$ on mechanics & they have not been able to fix the issue!! I’ve also called Lexus and my car doesn’t fall under the ones affected by the recall. If you have any information that could help me out in this process please let me know i haven’t been able to drive my car in 5 months!!!
