Loud Grunting Noise From Dash (Not The Usual Ratting)
Hello, I have a 2000 GS300. When I was driving home from a workout today I noticed the dash was making a loud and disturbing noise, it seemed to be the car's computer (or whatever the proper term is). It was a loud grunting sound, similar to that of a dog who is getting ready to bark IE "grrrr.... grrrr WOOF WOOF", minus the woof part of course. It isn't the usual minimal ratting noise from the dash that is common among Lexus's, this one was disturbing.
Any suggestions/ideas would be very helpful.

My guess would be one of two things. 1) One of your climate control servos is dying, and needs to be replaced or repaired. Easier to replace, than repair, but costs more. 2) Possibly some air in your heater core, or heater hoses.
You being in Florida, my money's on the servo issue.

For me, the climate is working just fine, and the noise they describe sounds like the noise I've always had since I bought the car 65k miles ago, the little ticking computer sound coming from the dash. This noise I've experienced now sounds harsh, like a phone both vibrating and rattling on the dash. When I have the volume up at halfway, I can still hear the noise clearly, that's how loud it is.
Either way, I'm going to take it to the Lexus dealership for an oil change tomorrow so they can also tell me what's wrong. From there on I'll contact my regular mechanic and see what it'll cost me. I'll mention what you said though to him, thanks!
