I have a 96 Lexus and yesterday I put my battery in wrong after replacing my pwr steering pump and ac bypass pulley started just fine before now all I get is a click noise lights turn on but my cluster and steering wheel aren’t operating, I’m thinking I messed up my stator because I checked all fuses and they are all good any tips would help a lot thank you

Hello,

What do you mean by "put the battery in wrong", did you reverse polarity?

Clicking noise generally indicates a dead battery rather than something else, check the battery voltage with no load and while cranking the engine, it should not go below 10-11V; besides, any car parts store should be able to check your battery for free. If it is a bad battery, then there is a question of whether it's just old or there is a parasitic draw, I described how to check the latter in this post.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
