I found that part number on the Lexus parts websites but it was so vague as to whether it was the right part. At least the one I was looking at. Fuvk! Man I can't catch a break. I'm finding cd changers on ebay. But they're not cheap. Is there anything on a 95 LS400 or ES300 that I can use? At this point in trying to pick up as many interchangeable parts as possible. Anything ever does wrong with my car then I'm waiting on parts for a month! Unless I pay Lexus 2k for a cd changer! Well 1,600 but who's counting right!
why buy a oem cd changer when you can buy an aftermarket deck that takes USB? Only things I know from an ls400 that fits is the front brake calipers. Nothing from the es300.

I feel you on the audio..
But honestly for now I would rather do as little tweaking on the car as possible. When fall gets here and 110° turns into 95° I'll think about mounting a 2din stereo in the dash but... For now I was able to buy a used one and amp off the only 1st Gen GS 300 I've found and I'm planning on swapping the door speakers with some Fosgate 5.25s I've got and I bought a "mid-range free-air" sub to mount in the rear deck cheap and a small amp I'm gonna run the rear speakers and sub on.. I think.. I haven't checked to see what size wire is run throughout the car. My plan is to just tap into the amp in the car and run a 4 gauge hot to the trunk for two small amps. And I'm hoping that the wiring for the speakers is beefy enough to handle 60 watts Max.. if so then my work will be minimal in the heat. I do plan on throwing a distribution block in the trunk and split the 4 gauge into two 8's and put a 12 in a prefab box or something and run a couple hundred watts just for the low end. I'm not looking to shake pictures of the walls. I did that when I was younger. Now I just want it to sound decent. And the CD changer I've got posts the first track and won't skip forward. It always goes back to the spot it was at in the last song on the last disk. And it skips horribly.. who knows the one I just got might do the same. As far as the LS calipers are they any larger then the GS brakes or are the rotors pretty much the same across all levels? If I'm going to buy extra parts to have and I have a choice of larger diameter brake rotors I should go that route. Or is they ate more efficient in any way. Right now I'm not riding on anything too special but after I close on this house (fingers crossed) I'm planning on building a motor That's a little more impressive. Having a garage will make all the difference. Especially having a garage and an extra portable AC I can throw out there.. ;-)

I had the clam shell on my steering column open earlier this week and as I was sweating my **** off trying to run down a bad wire That's keeping my interior lights from working I looked down at my steering column. For some reason I kept expecting it to look like all the others that I've seen everyone "fixing" with the three screws and the fold down cover over the worm gear. Mine looked like it was missing this piece because the part I was looking for want right there. Here I'll post a picture. What am I missing here man. When I opened the one today it looked just like mine! WTF? Please show me where I'm a dumb *** here...
