Default 93 GS300 OBD1 Code Issues

Not horribly bad for $300, just hope it's not something TOO time and money consuming...

Only paid $1,200 for this half a decade ago. 322,525mi and still going strong on the original engine, trans, and rear end (knocks on wood), only needed routine maintenance type work thus far...

Hi everyone, new to the site so bear with me if I screw something up...

My issue is I'm trying to figure out why my 93 GS300 I just snagged off of Letgo for $300 isn't starting. I've only had it for a few days and work full time dismantling vehicles at the largest salvage yard in our region, so I haven't been able to REALLY dig into it, but I've done the basic visual inspections of physical or mechanical causes but found no obvious culprit other than not being able to hear if the fuel pump was kicking on or not due to it being on a kinda busy street and my not being able to run to the trunk fast enough to positively say it was or wasn't priming the system. So, I started testing electrical circuits using our good old underhood OBD1 diagnostic port. Found out the fuel pump wasn't bad like I was initially thinking, just the relay was. Cool, progress...

Next I decided to see if it had any fault codes. This is where I need some advice. I hooked my jumper wire to the Te1 and E1 on the Diagnostic port, and the Check Engine light AND O/D Off light both blink steadily, at the same rate and time. Forever. Well, until I pull the jumper or turn the key off anyway.

So, what the bloody Hell does THAT mean?!

Truly appreciate any helpful advice, I've referred to this forum for information for about 5yrs now, ever since I bought my 95 SC400, but this is my first time actually registering and asking for help.

first off, welcome. you usually count the number of blinks, but it seems constant flashing means no codes are stored. ref: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/mai...ne-issues.html
