common oil drip issues?
What are the main causes of small oil leaks on the garage floor with high milage first gen gs300s? I cleaned mine up did an eyeball/flash light inspection and didnt see much. However i have a few drips each day now. Trans is pretty clean looking so i dont think its the rear main seal. I know my way around the is300 pretty well and the 2jz too so dont be shy. Just didnt know if there is a common place on the first gen gs300 that always tend to drip?

- oil drain plug
- distributor o-ring
- front main seal
- front cam seals

Mine started as a slow leak and then after a short time was getting ridiculous. I finally found it was something really simple. Check the Oil Pressure Sensor switch. It is a pita to get to and HARD to see if that's where it's coming from. The sensor is at behind the AC compressor.
My recommendation is to go ahead and replace that first. It's pretty easy if you just unbolt the compressor and set it to the side. The AC hoses are rigid so it's hard to do any damage here. With the compressor out of the way it's easy to replace.
Other than that I think Joe is spot on as always...
