DIY Fuel Filter change/replace
so i have decided to be an awesome individual and show you all how to replace a fuel filter....
1. fuel filter is by the rear left tire, right under the door.
2. here's a picture of what it looks like with the cover removed.
3. you really should use a back up wrench, here you need a 14 mm and a 17 mm, both ends the same..i sprayed PB BLASTER 20 min before i started to unbolt/unscrew everything.
4. here you cal see after i losend both ends, in coming and out going, in coming is the right side the clear fuel that's dripping, on the left if the going to engine pipe and you can see how dirrty that fuel is.
5.i couldnt believe it my self, i had an OEM toyota fuel filter in there.
6, this took me about 30 min to complete
PS. making these DIYs is not easy lol.

Thanks for the wtite-up!! I change my fuel filter a few months ago and it was original too. Whats really scary is when you dump the old filter and see all of the dirt/glunk that goes through your fuel system.

I did the same thing about 3 months ago. Yep mine was the original too. And yes the crap that came out the front side baffled me. How do these things go for so long on that dirty fuel. I dunno... Thanks for the post!

It looks like perhaps you had these photos hosted on facebook? Photos could be uploaded to the forum, if you had updated links of the photos just go to advanced and when you insert a picture you will have the option to enter a URL, or choose a photo from your computer if they are saved there.
