hey guys i just had a question mght b a stupid one but oh well lol
i have a 93gs300 n i want 2 lower it but i dont have the money 2 get the right springs or coilovers
but it really needs 2 b lowered a lil bit. so my question is would it b worth it n safe to just cut the springs to lower it im nt to worried bout the ride persay i just wont to get it lowered. my plan is to eventualy get a air ride system for it so its just for now because it will b awhile till i cn do that
thanks for the advice and the time
previous owner on my supra heated the coils and compressed them, rode like utter trash but it was low. I've known of people to cut a coil off too but I'd be concerned about how the spring sat afterwords in the perch. worth it? I say no.. safe? if you know how to work with tools enough to yank those front shocks, which means disconnecting the lower control arm and swaybars and then a spring compressor to get them off to be modified. I just installed my coilovers and gotta say I wouldn't do that job unless it replaced the shocks, cause it kind of sucked to do it and had to get an alignment.
