Default ES 330 Wheel offset Enough?

Just wondering if I can run a set of ES 330 wheels http://lansing.craigslist.org/pts/3349811715.html I really want a set of 18" but these are cheap and I can refinish them with a nice paint job.

They are the 16" ES 300's I just was thinking the offset ont he ES and the GS was different?

Default ES wheel fitment

I've seen a few SCs with those wheels, so ithink they will fit (probably ~50mm lexus typical offset). They may only be 7" wide vs the 7.5" GS stockies, so they would limit tire widths, and peeling chrome in the bead seat area may cause perpetual air leaks, so be careful Hope that is a little help, good luck, - Brent

I was actually thinking of picking them up to strip, then paint and clear with a silver/gray color. Or would I have to have them re-crhomed because of the metal to get a good seal?

My understanding is that peeling chrome in the bead seat, could just be removed (sanded, ground, or stripped off) leaving a good smooth consistent sealing surface, you should then be able to refinished (paint or re-chrome) the rest of the wheel to your desire. As long as the bead surface is consistent (alloy, paint or chrome) you should be O.K. I ended up finding a set of Lexus OEM 'take-off' wheels on ebay (17" '08-'09 GS 350 wheels, $700) to use as my 'winter' set due to the Mag-Clo here in Colorado. So there are a few options out there... Let us know what you decide and how they look. - Brent

FYI - My GS on Summer BBS RXs, then Winter GS 350s:

Quick browse shows those wheels are 16x6.5 w/ 50mm Offset (1 inch narrower than GS stockies). Also there are a few sets on ebay if you want to do a little comparo shopping...

Keep us all posted! - Brent
