i just put in a new cup holder in my 96 gs and now i have problems opening the console. thinking of filing down the latch any ideas???

 

Maybe the cupholder you bought from the dealer is defective. Did it work before you installed it?

If it did work properly, try reinstalling it because maybe something got caught inside that is preventing it from opening.

 

the cupholds break in most first gen gs. how much did you get your for?? aren't they like 200 or something like that. well anyways i hope you didn't just shove it in the cupholder compartment. thats a no no. you should open up the hole thing and insert it correctly
