how about pad wear issues with doing this swap? since everything is fixed mounted is was told that there can be issues with uneven pad wear or the pads sticks or knock-back issues.

You should have less pad wear issues than with a sliding caliper. There is a reason all high end cars and race cars use this style. You get less pad drag resulting in free spinning disc as well as uniform pad clamping force.
I have a set of these, slightly used and already clearances to fit 1gs if anyone is looking. I just put it back to stock so the stock wheels would fit to sell the car.

I know I am bringing this thread back from the dead but has any had a soft/low/spongy pedal after do the LS400 or TT front brake conversion? I just finished my LS400 front conversion a few days ago and I have a low soft brake pedal. I have bleed the system several different ways and the brake pedal is still soft and low. The first 50% of brake pedal travel does very little and then the brakes grab. Sometimes if I double pump the pedal it seems like I have full pressure but on the next stop the pedal feels soft again. Which leads me to believe there is air still in the system but I have bleed the system several times. I am using SS brake lines so that shouldn't be an issue. The pads I am using came with the calipers when I bought them and they are in good shape but just to eliminate that as a possible problem I ordered EBC Green Stuff pads. I have read in a few places that upgrading to the TT or LS400 master cylinder is a possibility but I have not seen any definitive information....does anyone know any info about this? Upgrading to MC from a car with 4 piston calipers makes sense. Well any help or information will be greatly appreciated!! BTW the calipers are rebuilt and the bleeder screws are facing the correct direction.

Thanks for the suggestion. I installed the new pads today and bled then again with the vacuum bleeder. The pedal improved some but the brakes still aren't inspiring confidence. Occasionally if I double pump the pedal the brakes feel great and stop the car much better than the factory brakes. I may look into a new master cylinder and maybe try to find more info about the TT/LS400 Master Cylinder upgrade. If anyone has any info about the upgrade please chime in!!

Yup I did that again after I installed the new pads today. Steady stream with no bubbles. My "TRAC" Accumulator and pump don't work so my "TRAC" is on most of the time.....is it possible that air could be trapped in there?
