Default 2jzgte first start up help?

Okay my swap is finally done and i just started up the motor but I need some help. The top of the radiator and the top hose is hot, the gage reads a little over normal and the car is blowing regular air. a few mins later I noticed steam coming from the radiator cap. The bottom hosse is cold not even warm. Does anybody have an idea whats goin on?

Also check your heat and see if it is getting hot and working correctly. If not, I'd be leaning towards the thermostat. Or something else could be clogged up.

everything on the car runs like brand new up to the day i pulled the GE out of it dogg. I'm about 85 percent sure its the thermostat. what I did to make sure was I just pulled the Gs motors thermostat housing out to see what it looks like in there. so tomorrow when i get home from work I'll pull that housing off the gte and take a look @ that thermostat. Other than that I love the sound of the wastegate

Oh I swaped out the hydro water before I had the motor put it. I guess there were air pockets in there somewhere. What I did was let it sit over night with coolant in the funnel by morning the level drop big time when the air worked its way up and out of the system. Never got the overheating anymore.
