Been a while... Time for an upgrade!
Decided to give some love to the braking system, so I went down to the local wrecking yard and picked up the LS400 brake calipers and rotors for a great price. Seen this upgrade done a bunch here, so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and give it a shot!
Rotor on the right is how it looked when I picked them up, and the one on the left is after some light sanding and painting the center:
Here are the calipers:
Gonna have the rotors turned this weekend, and then it is time to throw these bad boys on the car! I'll try to take pics as I put them on to show the process... I hear it is a pretty straightforward install minus cutting the dust shield, and trimming some of the caliper (I hear that it doesn't need to be shaved from some people... so I guess there is only one way to find out! lol).
