my 96 gs is has no power and doesnt want to go past 2000 rpm in gear.
checked fuel pump resitance and got 1.2ohms (specs are 0.2-3) not sure about pressure but i went to the tank today and the pump is making noise and it sometimes go up and down? could it be dying even though the specs are right?

 

check the fuel pump ECU on the left rear trunk of the car where the antenna is if u can disconnect it and jump the wires to see if that solves ur problem. is the check engine light on?

 

check engine is on code is p0171 for lean engine running
i am very much sure it has to do with fuel but cant figure out if its the pump,ecu, fuel pump ecu or the fuel pressure regulator.
fuel filter was changed a month ago
