Angry Major Issue Plez Help

2days ago I was on the freeway and had 2 hit the brakes hard to avoid an collision and after I switched lanes I heard a loud bang against my driver side tirewell as if I ran over a huge rock! Shortly afterwards I my car started 2 squeek,my power steering went out and my car ran hot! I flushed the radiator and the engine with no success! 1 mechanic said I need a power steering pump and they need 2 further investigate y its running hot! I can only drive maybe 5-7 miles on the freeway b4 running hot! The only thing that I see that's different is the the fan on the front of my radiator isn't running but could that b y its running hot?also my a/c doesn't work! When I turn it on it seems like its gonna work and then the a/c light starts blinking! Plez help me guys cause I don't wanna blow a perfectly good engine!

Does your engine temp gauge get hot then cooler then hot then cooler. If so your Fan Clutch May be to blame.
If it just keeps getting hotter and hotter you might have a frozen Thermostat!
The power steering is another story If when you first start you see some White Smoke come out the tail pipes you might have a leaky VCV valve from the powersteering which would steal some fluid and make it squile after a while. Look for the smoke!
If no smoke and it is still squeeking it is probably time to get a new one. I got mine out of denver for $90 at a place called Adopt-a-Part. It was not the hardest thing to do just a little time consuming to get all the air out of the system.
As far as the load pop it could be a few different things did you check and make sure you had a timing belt still under the hood?lol

Let us know what you figure out and good luck

First thing you should do is run codes on your car and see what comes up.
These cars can be diagnosed pretty easily since you don't need any speacila tools to check for codes. Look up the service manual for instructions.

2nd, if you radiator fan is not working, and you drive around like that at low speeds, the car will overheat fairly quick. Maybe the clutch went out on the fan?
Or if you running electrical fans, check accordingly.

You could also have a Blown headgasket? just a coincidince it showed up the same time?

Traction lights - once again, check for codes.

Squeaking - Maybe you did hit something and damaged your suspension?
Power steering squeal? could be low on fluid? or just went out .

If you heard a bang, did yu check to make sure you serpentine belt is still there? Could explain the fan not working? and other lights turning on?

A while ago my cars radiator fan exploded and my power steering went out, lights alll over came on, and my car kept overheating every 2 miles. My issue was the pulley that keeps tension on the serpentine belt had a huge piece of rubber that surrounds it fall off, so the serpentine belt was reallly loose and not turning the radiator fan, or moving the power steering or anything. so i guess check to see if the belt is tight.

Thanks fellas! Sorry bout the late response but I've been a lil bizy but turns out it was the power steering pump that went out and it got oil all over the serpentine belt so it was slipping and my radiator fuse was blown! And the fuse really slipped my mind! Thanks for the advice!
