tim8oland, can you link up the DIY here in this thread? I can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

It's the picture below that is telling. It confirms two of my suspicions.

Upper left corner I believe is normally where the "A" adjustment screw is mounted. OK, so that means to get that piece seperated you do definitely have to adjust that screw all the way out. Which is one of the things I tried to do.

Lower left corner I believe is where this "mount point" is that I talked about. On my housing on the black plastic reverse this bolt is covered over with the mold. Almost like they mount it, and then melt a security cover over it or something. Very confusing.

Does anyone have any specific insight into how to remove those plates?

I will PM Lexus4Jess

Here is a stock projector assembly with ring. When I seperated the headlight, I saw a lot of glass chips. I was like "wow, the previous owner must have had a lot of headlamps shatter. lol. Then I realized the glass projector itself is chipped all the way around. Apparently they didn't do a good job cushioning the projector glass in there.

hey guys,I like to use a heat gun.I have more control with it.If you leave it in the oven to long the black housing may distort. When I reseal them.I just heat up the edge of the lens and the black housing. It works great for me.

May sig has link to "How to remove projectors"

Jess, I don't see that link in your sig. There are two links in your sig for JDM HID (part 1 and part 2), and you show good pictures in these, but no instructions on how to remove the actual grey metal piece that mounts the projector/hi-beam reflector (picture 2 posts above this thread)

the height adjustment bolts hold the metal and you have to unscrew the bolts and pull the metal piece away at the same time..
I did a TSX/Halo retrofit and I would strongly recommend that you use a heat gun oppose to the oven method for the same reasons that jess stated. You simply have more control of what part your heating up and you use the same glue to reseal the headlights.By using the heat gun you can reheat the glue and you wont need any other types of sealants.I have taken my my headlights apart 3 times(not by choice, lol) and I have no leaks or fogging up of my lenses..

Guys - I ended up just drilling holes in the housing about the philips head screws that hold the mount. Yah, I know it's a bit destructive, but not that bad. I will just use glue when I reassemble.
