ha, its all good. Im also very tempted on a earth-tone green with lots of pop to it (you'd have to see this chevy avalanche around my area to understand) and black interior

Modding the Lexus has kind of unintentionally slowed down lately. Im still attending all the events but new parts havent came in lately. Picked up a daily vehicle/off road vehicle so Im paying that off and then getting situated into a house. But as soon as thats handled, its full speed ahead on a GTE swap. Heres some pictures from recent gatherings just to say im still lurking. Got to change my front tire size/camber as well. The black and white photo really shows its weakness

Annnddd.....heres the new DD/toy. Im trying to fight the urge to mod it right now. Got other priorities but I've already been researching 3-4" lifts, Volk TE's, tires, 1HD Turbo Diesel swaps...the good stuff.

Hopefully Im posting GTE swap pictures soon

^^Man, nice pickup and in white too! Always loved the FZJ80s and thought about getting one myself, but was unsure if I can live with the mpg.

Mileage isn't as bad as you might think. Better then the Tundra in the driveway..but thats I6 vs V8. $70 of 92 octance fills it up in Washington and I can go snowboarding (1.5 hours each way to the mountain I go to) and I can get home with a little more then a half tank left. Although its WAY under powered. There's turbo kits manufactured for the US motor. But it seems like most Land Cruiser guys try to find the Turbo Diesel motor available in overseas models, or Cummins Diesels. The 1UZ would be pretty cool but terrible mileage if you were to SC it.

I wish mine wouldve came with OE diff locks but it will be more oriented towards excursion off-roading so it should be able to handle most everything w/o locks.

No, just BC coils and Battle Version toe & trac bars with -5 camber as far as the rear goes. I have adjustable rear upper arms in the garage I havent put on yet.

I actually havent registered there...yet...but I have been using that forum for research. I'll probably post an introduction thread on there soon. But the cruisers not going to have any notable mods for a little while. Got to keep the GS plans in motion. Im getting two good raises at work over the next 2 years (topping out) and then I'll probably starting ripping into the Cruiser.

You have an 80 as well? Pics/mods? I've been lookin at the Slee 4" with 33's or 35's but Im wondering if 4" is overkill if im more excursion oriented. Also curious about what gears ratio would be good...but Im sure the more I research I'll figure that out. And this vehicle will be my DD for a couple years. Warn wench on an ARB bumper will be a must.
