Unhappy 1995 GS 300 electrical problems

Hi! Nice forum you guy's have here. I've been searching the net for a few hours now looking for any help I can find.

Here's my problem;
I own a 95 GS 300. It has a 10-12 volt parasitic drain on the battery. The battery test's fine, and the alternator has been replaced already just to be sure it isn't the cause. I took it up to my friend's shop and they can't find the cause of the drain. They took out every fuse one by one and no matter what the drain was still being placed on the battery. They put a different battery in to make sure it wasn't some crapped out battery, and the drain is also on the new battery.

My battery is an Optima yellow top. I have no aftermarket stereo or performance mods done. All electronics are factory.

Does anyone know what could be causing my battery to drain? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Brad

Sounds like power is continuosly running like a light is on or that an amp's Remote power switch is not working properly and it is staying connected.

start pullin fuses until you can narrow down the circuit. wouldn't be surprised if it was in the body to door wiring joint, got any window or door lock issues?
I would double check what they did still, both engine bay block and left kickpanel. id pay attention to the 30amp power and 10amp dome

turned out to be the battery. don't know why another battery also registered the drain. maybe the tech had the door open and the dome light, or the headlights on when he was testing it the first time.

my other buddies shop found no drain and told me the battery had lost charge in the few hours it had been out of the car, even though when charged the battery was testing good. screw yellowtops. they are not dual purpose like they say. get a redtop or a different brand. I was going to run a stereo with it before all this crap. Now probably not, the nakamichi is fine with a 12" pioneer in the back dash.

thanks for the replies though.
