Well I continued the wire ridding obsession tonight. I went to the storage bin where my engine is and pulled the harness off and brought home. Got off work at 9pm, got home from pulling the harness and messing with a few other things at 1030pm.. and just now finished stripping extra wires (AC, VSV's..etc.. ) and anything else not needed all the way down to the ecu pins. then I rewrapped the whole harness. I need to extend the igniter harness to run it thru the firewall, but I ran out of tape tonight, and i need more heatshrink too.

If all goes well, I'm looking at finishing the engine bay paint and making new brake lines tomorrow. Friday when I'm off, the engine will go back into the car, and then I'll tow it back here to fab up the new v mount.

More pix to come. bed now...

No progress today..

Had to go to work on another car after I got off work today. BPU'd a 300zx TT (Basic Performance Upgrade) with downpipes, exhaust, ECU and hard intercooler pipes.. then on the testdrive leaving the car lot, the freakin igniter decides to go.. or so we found out 2 hrs later of messing with it.

Oh and my new rotors showed up today.. well 3 of them did anyway.

going to bed to end this miserable day

the engine has left the building.

...it's now in the car.

Now I can finish the fab work over the next week for the new intercooler, and thanks to some side work I did today on that Z and a Supra I can afford to buy the rest of my parts to finish it up.

Damn Epik, this car is gonna be so badass! I cant wait to steal some of your ideas, haha. That V-mount intercooler is pretty stealthy, but with NA-T, I dont think there will be enough room for that setup

NA-t you could possibly still fit it. would have change some piping, I but i think i could make it work.

vmount is for a few reasons. efficiency.. less piping to travel thru is less lag and wait for the power to hit.

v mount is inboard of the structural area on the car. Protected if you hit an object..wall..etc. Not hanging off the frt like a traditional front mount..altho they do look great.

It would have to be some very special piping. I can only imagine what it would look like, lol. There would be less lag though. Its a possibility.

just look at the design of the rb25det skyline iengine.. similar to a 2jzge.. check out a few modded RB pix and you'll see the line for the piping.

mine will be easy though.. GTE

The weather cooperated today so I dragged the GS to Ferd's house this morning and we came up with this..

The headlights, hoodpins and intercooler will all be based off that tubular front bar in the next few days.

Well my deadline of the end of the month has come and gone.. but it's really close to being done.

My right rear rotor still hasnt made it here yet from the shipper.. this is the 3rd one he is sending ??? So my rear wheels cant go back on until that gets here and then I can get better access to finish up under the hood by putting the car back on the ground and moving it out of my cramped one car garage/storage/workspace.

Here's some pix

all my AN fittings, the new rotors I did receive, the fuel cell, AN-6 hose, AN-12 hose to fix the front turbo oil drain, The 255 inline pump and aluminum fuel filter, my Razo ltd edition magnesium brake pedal cover from a set I have had forever..cant wait to be able to use the clutch pedal cover too. Also there is my completely stripped down and retaped engine harness with all the unnecessary wires and sensors deleted. And my new right rear upper control arm.. no more 1/4" of slop on the inner bushings!!

got the cell centered up and mounted in the car

Now for the front end.. freakin expensive 180* fitting..but it fits perfect

255 pump under the car. Line needs to be mounted yet and wires/fuse to be added

2 New rear calipers..one was seized up from sitting with the brake line cut

Finished fuel system out back

Engine bay bracing and SaRD FPR

So I'm waiting on one stinkin rotor to put it back on the ground.. and I'm short one fuel line fitting to finish that up. The bracing for the radiator and intercooler needs to be fabbed and then the short intercooler piping will be a breeze.
I cant wait to drive again.
