The cupholder is boo boo! I looked over the car when I bought it and everything was good...until I pressed that cupholder whil driving and it shot out like a rocket. That thing is faster than the car itself. I almost killed myself because it scared the crap out of me.
Have you guys seen the thread about how to fix the cup holder ? I did it using paper clips, screws and jb weld. Its puss. Ive been using it again for the last few months, after not haveing one for 7 years.

Ok not cool that you are only sharing this now!! You mean there is a fix for that stupid thing?
everyone has the same issue too..... outside window trim, wet trunk where the spare is. my cupholder is more then broken, its missing and my driverside back window wont roll down.
I like to mess with people when they get in my car. If they have a drink or we go to a drive thru I'll say, "Hey, put that in the cup holder for me." Then watch the magic happen.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I don't know what I did...it..it..just popped out on it's own. Are you mad? I'll pay for it......are..are you mad??"
Im not sure if you guys are aware but you can just buy the cupholder assembly and not the whole armrest. It cost about $125-145 and it replaces your old beat up cupholder..
Too rich for my blood. I'm going the PB&J w/paper clip route.
And its this kind attitude that plaques this forum..First gen owners complain about parts that go bad but are too cheap to replace it..Typical Honda attitude..

I bought the car with a broken one, had the stealership buy me a new one. The new one only lasted a few months, even not using it.

It doesn't work so I don't use it and haven't missed it. I can find another use for $145. If working to fix minor problems on the car is cheap, then paying $145 for a cup holder is lazy. Thanks for the info.
