The cupholder is boo boo! I looked over the car when I bought it and everything was good...until I pressed that cupholder whil driving and it shot out like a rocket. That thing is faster than the car itself. I almost killed myself because it scared the crap out of me.

hEY MODS how about you make a poll on first gen issues? I think cup holder is most common, followed by window trim...and then hazy headlights...

I like to mess with people when they get in my car. If they have a drink or we go to a drive thru I'll say, "Hey, put that in the cup holder for me." Then watch the magic happen.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I don't know what I did...it..it..just popped out on it's own. Are you mad? I'll pay for it......are..are you mad??"

Hahaha

Im not sure if you guys are aware but you can just buy the cupholder assembly and not the whole armrest. It cost about $125-145 and it replaces your old beat up cupholder..

And its this kind attitude that plaques this forum..First gen owners complain about parts that go bad but are too cheap to replace it..Typical Honda attitude..

I bought the car with a broken one, had the stealership buy me a new one. The new one only lasted a few months, even not using it.

It doesn't work so I don't use it and haven't missed it. I can find another use for $145. If working to fix minor problems on the car is cheap, then paying $145 for a cup holder is lazy. Thanks for the info.
