Default Squelling noise...

When I start my car in the morning there is a kind of squealing noise. After the car warms up the noise goes away. I had this problem with my Acura TL before and it turned out to be my water pump. I checked the water pump and it seemed fine (no leaks). Has anyone else had this problem before?

Check your belts for cracking if not just lubricate your accessory pulleys.

Trying spinning your fan by hand to see if it turns smoothly also. If not replace your fan clutch ASAP. I started hearing noises under my hood and my fan clutch actually seized up (I didnt know at the time) so my fan was constantly spinning at engine rpms. On my way to my family's house in Cali coming from Vegas I guess I was going fast enough to where the fan created a strong enough vacuum to suck the lower piece of the fan shroud into the fan. 200 miles from my destination with a shattered engine fan. $270 from Lexus the rest is history. I had to get it from Lexus because I couldnt find it anywhere else and I needed to get back to Las Vegas.

Calm down everyone, its just a belt. Happens all the time in winter time. Replace the $20 belt and you'll be fine.
