Default overheating problems

oh man I thought the car was fine. I burped the system when I first got it. and it stopped over heating.

I drove from LA to San deigo non stop and it overheats as soon as i get thier.
Then the same thing happends when I go back home.

I switched to toy red coolent, new thermostat, burped the system and no leaks. has anyone had simular problems?
I seriously need to get this fixed cause Im getting pulled over in the Supra and it's my only transportation as of right now.

does your fan still turn on? if it does. check you radiator cap. coz if its not holding pressure it will over heat, and you might not see any coolant leaks.
make sure there's no sign of cracking on the rubber.

Like the Monki said, it could be a fan, fan clutch or you have a pressure leak and the fluid is not circulating properly.

i had similair problem,Toyota tech told me it was the fan clutch,so i purchased new one,and it made no difference, turned out to be the the thermostat,so if you need a fan clutch let me know,as the one i took of looks good, and was still working, and since i installed the new,I could not return it,so i left it on.

Worst case scenerio the head gasket might be affected. Make sure the radiator cap is making a proper seal and its not steaming out of the reservoir. I think the guys have covered everything else. I'm assuming that you're inquiring about the GS as its posted in the GS forum and not the Supra posted in your initial post.

I would take it to Son at Dynamic Auto Services. I haven't heard many instances of these cars overheating. I know my temperature guage does not move regardless of hills, load, outside temp, etc.
