haha, guys calm down, i haven't drove it for a while now and yes smoking was pour out the exhaust. I really don't feel like screwing up the engine, the people at turbonetics told me that if they can't repair it, they have to replace everything thats inside the housing, that's going to cost me 600 dollars, they told me? Has anybody went to majestic for a rebuilt and how much would that cost?

I have always gone to Turbos Direct for my stuff. The guy who runs it is a Garrett Master dealer, IHI and Holset with 30 years experience. Ask for Scott. 623.376.2562. He can rebuild anything or sell you an upgrade. I've got my eye on a GT3040R but I can't seem to justify over a grand on a turbo to my wife.

GT3040R is a cross between a GT30R and a GT35R. It will have about the same top end as my 60-1 but with the T3 turbine it will spool at idle.

no much, but i will be taking out the turbo today and send it out for a rebuilt. They said it's going to run me 250-350 for a rebuilt, pretty resonable, i guess. Also, i'm going to heat wrap my manifold and down pipe since the turbo is out, to keep the engine bay a little cooler.

Unfortunately no, and I've been giving him a hassle about it for a while. He's incredibly busy without it so that may be why he hasn't invested in it.

Pretty good. About 3000-3200rpms and I'm fully spooled. This stock TC doesn't match up so well when you stand on it from a stop or 55 mph. It takes a while to get the rpms up enough to get it spooling sometimes. An upgraded valve body and converter and I'd have no complaints. I'm doing just shy of 400 wheels on 91 octane at 16psi.
