Heat/Ac issues Please Read
Hey Guys, I haven't been here in a long time, but i'm having a problem with my car thats bugging me that just started today.. No matter what temperature I set my AC/heater to it feels like its blowing out air as if i had set it to 85. What do you think is wrong and how do i fix it. If I put the AC button on the engine does rev like 200rpm like normal but still no cold air. Just total Heat as if it was on 85. Any suggestions? Thanksl

Check your refrigerant level:
Run your engine 1500 RPM
Blower speed set to high
A/C switch on
Temperature set to coolest
Open your hood and look at the sight window of the A/C reservoir. You should see no bubbles but should be able to tell refrigerant is flowing.
Turn off the A/C and when it's off, refrigerant should foam and then stay become clear. If you see nothing going on, you may have no refrigerant. That means there's a leak somewhere.
If refrigerant level is good, a way to determine an internal compressor leak is to inspect refrigerant pressure with a manifold gauge set. The gauges can tell you if the pressure is too high on the low and high pressure sides or if the pressure is too low on high pressure side. Either condition could mean an internal leak in the compressor.
Another possibility is that your expansion valve (near evaporator which is behind glove compartment before the firewall) is clogged and is preventing refrigerant from circulating.
