I'm new to the forum but I know a few things about my cars engine. Since my 94 gs300 has the same engine as the na supras, wouldn't you think the 5spd tranny matted to that would convert to the gs? I'd really like to have a manual car but am not willing to spend the 8k to swap the 2jz-gte + tranny. So my question is, do you think the 5spd would mat up? If so how much do you think it would cost altogether?

 

Sure it mates up. Its the same as the na soop and the na sc3.
All you need is to fab some kind of clutch pedal and driveline. The ? of the day is, does the shifter come thru the center console in the same location ?
If not, you can modify the shifter tail. There are quite a few cars in japan that have a manual swap. But Ive yet to see one in the US.

Well I know the getrag 6 speed bolts straight up as I had one.

 

Db i kno u had one but there's more to it then just bolting up lots of parts are involved
