The motor will fit, the ECU and harness will not easily. I'm sure it's possible with enough time and money and pin outs. But why would you when the Aristo harness plugs in.

With doing the 2jz swap in to a Gs300 i understand the motor drops right in and you need to make clearance for the twins; however if you go single its a little easier. Now with the wiring has anyone developed a write up for the extension of them? Can you utlize the Aristo ECU for this swap? and final question is there a write up for the 6spd/5spd conversion for this car?

just use everything from the aristo..including the wiring harness.. then extend the wires just before the ecu plug..

if the vvti motor is going into a 1gs i'm pretty shure the wires are different, unless it came out of a 1g aristo in japan already

depends on what engine you are swapping in. What kind of 2jz-gte is it? VVTI or not? if you're tryin to put a non-VVTi into your 98 gs3, it will not be plug and play at all.

if it isa VVTi 2JZ-GTE, VVTi's are notorious for being complicated and you'll probably need to modify something but i'm not sure on this. i doubt it will be plug and play.

I don't advise the VVTi on the JZS147. Reason, 1st gen's use analog signaling whereas the later 2nd gen and present all use digital signals.

Also, the internal chassis wiring harness of the 1st gen that the engine harness plugs into is different.
