TT supra motor mounts on GS300
I was wondering if I could use the mounts from a supra on my 1st gen GS300, also are they any stronger.
Seems like the TT guys can really put some abuse on the mounts, but mine with 230,000 miles on them an only 230hp, they were both broken.

Rob, I just replied to your PM and I JUST got your phone message last night. Sorry.
I'm running the Supra mounts.. they are different by year. I got mine from my buddy with an sc300, he had just bought them and ran them for a few weeks before he sold his car and I traded my GS mounts for them.
You'll have to drill out the holes in the subframe, the jza80 mounts have a thicker stud. With the engine out it is easy to see what i'm talking about, the metal there is 2 layer.. the top hole is the right size, the inner layer is the smaller one for the GS mount.. just port or drill it to match and thats it.
Purchase the 97 JZa80 mounts. Big improvement, almost 1/4" lower CG and urethane instead of liquid filled like the GS ones. Cheaper too.
Hope this helps.
Happy Holidays!

I was giving that some though yesterday ironically. The lexus mounts are fluid filled rubber. That might be why the GS has such a notoriously bad grounding and charging system. The motor only touches the chassis through a very few random spots as opposed to the Supra that has the metal cased mounts. Thoughts?

Yeah, I was thinking/hoping that the only difference was the stud. I have a single SC400 mount, and it is just a thicker stud.
I will go check prices on 97 Supra.
