Default Tips on Chips !

Wanted to know if anyone has one of those horcepower chips ? Do they really give you more horse power? Would you buy one from ebay if not then where?

what chips are these again...???? are they dorito's or lay's??? personal i like chedder and cheese ones

Toyota computers do not have any quality chip programming. Ford has the EEC VI and V computers that are famous for chips. They now switched to the PTEC in 05 which is 'chipless' but can be reflashed through the OBDII port. GM and Subaru can also be reflashed.
The only devices you can add to a Toyota would be 'piggyback' which intercepts signals to the ECU and changes it to your desired signal. Such devices would include the Apexi AFC which manipulates the fuel signal. There really isn't much you can do to add timing besides turn up the distributor. Other than that, standalone and big bucks.
